As a trendy nod to the punk sub culture that stems from freedom of expression, cute embroidered patches are suddenly making waves – from bags to denim jackets, we’re slapping them on everywhere!
Joining in the fun, Gucci has just started customizing its classic Dionysus handbag from creative director Alessandro Michele’s debut fall 2015 collection (the same one with the iconic double-G "Supreme" monogram, but with a modern touch), with embroidered patches – butterflies, bees, dragonflies, snakes, and peonies, trims, hardware, and monogrammed initials along with the option to bling them out with Swarovski crystals! – everything adorbz!
It’s available only at its flagship store in Milan on Via Montenapoleone currently, but Gucci will launch the DIY service at other major cities around the world, and hopefully online. Even better news? Eventually, we'll also be able to customize Gucci's Ace sneakers, the loafer slippers, and ready-to-wear pieces for men and women – Who. Is. Excited?
Tons of combos and placements, endless possibilities! What better way to express your true personality than through your bag, right? Take a bow, Michele.
