Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla

Most renowned for their beautiful chikankari, their intricate detailing and bespoke luxury, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla have been in the industry for decades now and have become synonymous with unmatched elegance. There’s no celebrity that hasn’t worn at last one of their creations – Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Aishwarya Rai are eternal fans.

Anushree Reddy

This self-taught seamstress first started crafting clothes in her atelier and made her ramp debut at Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013 in the Talent Box section. Her signature romantic, fresh floral designs are what make her not just a crowd favourite but a celebrity sweetheart as well – Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone and Nargis Fakhri count amongst her celebrity clientele.

Manish Malhotra

No one is a stranger to his name, the stars adore him, he’s built a 100-crore business, received multiple awards and done a 1,000-plus movies – Manish Malhotra is everybody’s favourite designer. His designs are timeless, glamourous and make up most of the dream Indian wedding.

Tarun Tahiliani

His resplendent couture needs no introduction, but Tarun Tahiliani proves time and again that he’s a designer fit for the royals. His current ready-to-wear collection covers themes such as Bauhaus, graphic nouveau, hand paint, chikankari, and chintz.

Sabyasachi

If you wanted the name of the designer with the strongest Indian traditional aesthetic so to speak, Sabyasachi is the first one to come to mind. Sabyasachi's design philosophy is 'personalized imperfection of the human hand' – deserts, gypsies, prostitutes, antique textiles and cultural traditions of his home town, Kolkata, figure a lot in his splendid creations.
